Hey lovers! I’m back in beautiful Bali, exactly one year after my first visit to this island paradise. I’m sitting here on my balcony, early in the morning (thanks jetlag), feeling grateful for this delicious weather and the tropical fruits that await me at breakfast time.
I’m dreaming about the seemingly endless massages, flower baths and body scrubs. Iced coffees and fruit smoothies. Nasi goreng and coconut ice cream. Market stalls and gorgeous boutiques. Waterfalls and rice terraces. The monkeys, the temples, did I mention the massages?
But I’m also sitting here thinking about how quickly this last year has gone. These last few months, I have been so busy. Too busy. Being forever busy is not a good thing and, if I’ve learnt one thing this year, it is that I do not want to live my life under a mountain of to-do lists.
What I want is to get back into doing the things that I love – like blogging (hey there friends, long time no see). I want to enjoy the quiet moments in life, go for leisurely bike rides in summer, enjoy cosy winter days drinking red wine, catch up on my ever growing pile of magazines. I want to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee in the kitchen and eat freshly baked croissants while still tucked up in bed. I want manageable to-do lists, to feel like I’ve achieved something, and still have time for tea and cake in the afternoons.
In the meantime, however, I’m going to be living it up in Bali. I’m here beautiful Ubud for 2 weeks and I plan to make the most of it (click here to see my Ubud travel guide from last year). The Authentic Feminine Retreat is on again and this time I am the official photographer (hooray for working holidays!). But outside of the retreat, it will be all massages, food and blissing out by the pool.
For now, I will leave you with a little video and some snaps from my trip last year.
